I was a ward of the state of New York. I was abandoned by my biological mother between the age of 4 to 6 months old. I was extremely lucky and blessed to live with my foster parents Francis N Brown who is died at 102 years old and my mother Mary E Brown who died at 97 years old. During the years I've always wanted to give back to the foster care system. I wasn't able because I had a family of my own and the qualifications were strict. Now my children are all grown up. I can move forward using all lessons that life have given me to be a provider for "The Lavender House Project".

I've learned that approximately 5,000 young adults that exit out of the Los Angeles County’s foster care system annually, have outstanding legal, educational and housing issues. And at the age of 18 many of them are on the streets homeless. I've found several homes that I can convert into temporary housing locations. You can help me.
